Basic Cup cake – Choco Indulgence

A basic recipe but quite close to my heart. I Love the fluffiness and simplicity of it. You should definitely try this for the minimalist dinners.

Ingredients (Yields 12)

  1. All purpose flour – 1.25 cups
  2. Egg – 2
  3. Sugar – 1 cup
  4. milk – 1/2 cup
  5. Butter – 5 cubes
  6. baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  7. baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Coco powder – 2 tablespoon
  9. Vanilla Essence – 1/2 teaspoon

Recipe

Step 1: Powder the sugar and sift it in a bowl. Add to it sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda and coco powder.

Step 2: In another bowl, take 2 full eggs and beat them at medium speed for about 4 minutes. The eggs become very light and frothy.

Step 3: Warm the milk and put the butter into it.

Step 4: Add the flour mixture in parts to the beaten egg and mix. You can use the whipper to mix at the lowest speed.

Step 5: Add the milk butter mixture and mix. Add vanilla essence and mix.

Step 6: Line the cupcake moulds and fill them with the batter upto 2/3rd height.IMG_20151120_182807

Step 6: Bake them in the microwave for 23-25 minutes at 160 degrees. The cupcakes are ready and they taste amazing hot from the oven!

Tip:

You can make any flavor cupcake using the same recipe. Instead of cocoa, add the same amount of flour and the desired flavor essence and color if needed.
