Who said party food has to be junk? Make way to the healthy hearts with a pot of this soul food! Super easy and delicious side for any meal.
- Chicken Stock – 1 cup
- Egg – 1
- Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
- Soya sauce – 1 teaspoon
- Chili Sauce – 1/2 teaspoon
- Chinese Salt – a pinch
- Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
- Shredded Chicken
- Salt as per taste
Step 1: Take chicken stock in a pan and to it add cornstarch and bring it boil at high flame. Add full egg directly to the boiling stock and mix vigorously. You will start seeing the egg transition into ribbons (as you can see in the picture).
Step 2: Add the sauces, salt and pepper and cook for about 5 minutes. If you find the consistency to be too thick, add some water. The soup is ready!
This is the simplest recipe for chicken soup. you can alternatively use some cut vegetables if you want to add some more flavour to the soup.
Serve hot with croutons, salad or my personal favorite – PIZZA 🙂
